Former president and chief executive of Telenor Group Sigwe Brek has been appointed executive chairman of the Telecom and Digital Business Group at Charon Pokphand (CP) Group, effective March 1.

Mr. Brake will oversee telecom and digital operations in Thailand and Southeast Asia, reporting directly to CP Group Chief Executive Sophchai Chiaravanant.

Mr. Sopchai said that the appointment of Mr. Brake marks a significant enhancement of CP Group’s capabilities.
