Jalandhar, September 30, 2024: An important meeting of CII Jalandhar Zonal Council was held on September 28 at Hotel Meriton, Jalandhar, which was attended by various industrialists of the region. The main objective of the meeting was to discuss the challenges and issues faced by the industries in and around Jalandhar, with the aim of devising strategies to make the industrial sector more efficient.

The important issues discussed during the meeting included labor shortage, development of basic infrastructure in industrial zones as per town planning, sewage and sanitation problems at focal points, non-functioning street lights, factory blueprints at local level. Requirement of approval, including setting up of factories. A new focal point in Jalandhar, rising energy prices, export concerns, and limited adoption of new technologies.
