Yara Brasil Fertilizantes SA (Yara) and Petróleo Brasileiro SA – Petrobras signed a non-binding master as the next step in negotiations to form a potential business partnership, following the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed on February 29, 2024. The agreement has been signed. .

In the next phase, Yara and Petrobras will jointly finalize the analysis of potential synergies between their operations, to include potential decarbonization pathways in the local fertilizer and industrial products market.

Brazil is an important market for both agricultural and industrial applications focused on increasing domestic production and future decarbonization. Yara is playing a leading role in addressing the food crisis and is committed to decarbonizing the food value chain, essential industrial and air quality applications, and zero-emission shipping fuel and energy solutions.
