113 in just 6 overs – anything is possible if this is Australia. On Wednesday, in a T20I against Scotland, Australia launched an all-out attack to chase down a target of 155 runs in just 9.4 overs. Australia scored 113/1 in the powerplay – the highest by any team in T20Is. Travis Head scored 73 runs in the Powerplay – the most by a batsman in the Powerplay. After the win, Head said, “It’s been a good run for the last couple of years, really enjoying the atmosphere and some of us who have been around for a while and the atmosphere with a lot of the youngsters coming up. like,” Head said after the win.

Travis Head hit a 25-ball 80 as Australia chased down Scotland’s 154 to win the T20 International in Edinburgh on Wednesday in 10 overs. The opener’s head hit five sixes and 12 fours as Australia posted the biggest T20 International debut powerplay score of 113/1 in the first six overs. The tourists had lost a wicket without a run on the board as Jack Fraser-McGurrick fell for three balls.
But Head and captain Mitchell Marsh thwarted the Scottish attack. Marsh scored 30 off Jack Jarvis while Head completed his half-century off just 17 balls. Both fell to Mark Watt in the seventh over but by then the damage was done.
Wicketkeeper Josh Ingles was able to pick up the baton as his blistering unbeaten 27 saw Australia win by seven wickets with 62 balls to spare.
Earlier, George Muncy scored 28 runs for Scotland. On behalf of Australia, Shaun Abbott took three wickets with 39 runs.
