Mohammad Siraj was involved in a war of words with Sri Lanka’s Kosal Maddis during the India vs Sri Lanka third ODI at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Wednesday. In the follow-up, the Indian pacer picked up a wicket and his teammate Virat Kohli’s reaction did not miss the spotlight. This incident happened during Sri Lanka’s batting. Siraj was brought back into the attack to bowl the 39th over. He bowled three consecutive dot balls to Mendes, with the last ball having a heated exchange with the batsman. Mendes got a single on the very next ball and then Siraj dismissed Sudira Samara Wickrama, who was facing her first ball of the game.

The umpires were not convinced by the LBW appeal, but India went up. The review revealed that the ball hit Samara Vikrama’s boot first instead of the bat. Tracking the ball revealed that it must have hit the leg stump. The decision was overturned, and Virat Kohli, along with other Indian teammates, celebrated in an animated manner. Even Kohli set the batsman on fire.
