The internet can be a funny place. Often it throws up posts and comments that surprise everyone. Old posts, long lost from public memory, suddenly resurface without context. A similar post appeared again on Saturday. This post was posted on May 12, 2010 by the official handle of IPL team Royal Challengers Bengaluru. “Dhoni blames IPL parties for T20 World Cup exit… What do you think? Via Allen,” the post read. The post resurfaced as the X-handle ‘Tik Tok Academy’ reposted it along with the scorecard of the match where Irfan Pathan scored 26 off 30 balls while other Indian batsmen failed.

It is not known which match scorecard Handel shared. But the 13-year-old post is a genuine post from RCB’s official handle. While India won the 2007 T20 World Cup under Dhoni, they were knocked out at the Super Eight stage in the 2010 edition.
