Australia and Delhi Capitals (DC) batsman David Warner’s latest collaboration with Telugu director SS Rajamouli has taken the internet by storm. In an ad for Creed, an Indian fintech company, Warner can be seen donning a figure inspired by Rajamouli’s mega-blockbuster film – Baahubali. The ad perfectly captures Warner’s love for Telugu films, and his antics throughout the cameo make Rajamouli a desperate figure. The ad was also shared by Warner on his official Instagram handle. In the ad, Warner can be seen recreating some of the hit scenes and doing some dance moves as well.

“See you at the Oscars?” Warner can be heard telling Rajamouli in one segment.

Warner’s interest for Telugu films and culture began during his stint with Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL.

He often shares videos and mashups of dancing to Telugu songs. Even his wife and daughters have been a part of his Instagram videos.

Warner played eight seasons for SRH between 2014 and 2021, leading the franchise to their only title in 2016.

However, Warner had to make an ugly exit from SRH after his relationship with the management went south.

After one season, he was picked up by Delhi Capitals, the franchise with which he made his IPL debut when they were called Delhi Daredevils.

Warner led DC in Rishabh Pant’s absence last season when the wicketkeeper-batsman was ruled out for the season due to a fatal car accident.

However, Pant resumed his captaincy earlier this season. While DC finished second to bottom last season, they currently sit last in the 10-team table having won just one game out of a possible five.

So far this season, Warner has scored 158 runs at an average of 31.60 and a strike rate of over 142, including a half-century. His best score is 52 which came in the only win so far against Chennai Super Kings in Visakhapatnam.
