Virat Kohli was stunned by on-field umpire Nitin Menon’s decision during the IPL 2024 match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians on Thursday. During the final over of the RCB innings, the umpire denied a waist-high nine to Dinesh Karthik when the batsman went to review a delivery by Akash Madhwal. Karthik connected with a full-toss delivery around his waist and after the shot was completed, the veteran wicket-keeper batsman went for a quick review after the no-ball was signaled. Replays showed that the ball was just above the waist and like many social media users, Kohli was completely confused as to why the no-ball was not awarded. (IPL Points Table)

In a video that went viral on social media, Kohli was seen having an animated conversation with the umpires after RCB’s innings ended. However, the subject of the conversation cannot be confirmed.
