Actor Ram Charan has received an honorary doctorate from the University of Wales at the institute’s 14th annual convocation held at its Pallavaram campus in Chennai.
Along with Ramacharan, the university also felicitated Chandrayaan’s project coordinator Dr P Veeramathvil, founder and CMD of Travetron Healthcare Dr GSK Velu, and table tennis player and Padma Shri awardee Achantha Sharath Kamal. All India Council for Technical Education Chairman TG Sitaram was also present as the Chief Guest on the occasion.

A statement issued by the university described the honorary doctorate awarded to Ramcharan as “recognition of his outstanding service to the film industry and society at large”.
He also said, “The University of Wales is honored to recognize the exemplary achievements and contributions of Mr. Ramacharan. By awarding him an honorary doctorate, the University recognizes his outstanding achievements in the film industry and his social service.” Admits an unwavering commitment, which has inspired countless individuals to pursue their dreams while making a positive impact on society.
