According to the Daily Star newspaper, several vehicles were torched by unidentified persons at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) on Sunday. People carrying sticks were seen vandalizing cars, ambulances, motorcycles and buses.

Protesters have rejected Ms Hasina’s invitation for talks aimed at halting the escalating violence and have consolidated their demands into a unified call for the government to resign.
