New York, USA:
Hundreds of anti-Israel protesters gathered in New York City’s Times Square on New Year’s Day on Wednesday, calling for an “intifada revolution.” Participants waved Palestinian flags and carried placards reading “Zionism is cancer,” “No war on Iran” and “Stop all US aid to Israel.”
Coincidentally, the protest came just hours after a deadly car attack by a terrorist in New Orleans’ French Quarter, killing at least 15 people.
The demonstration was reportedly organized by the Palestinian Youth Movement, the Party for Socialism and Liberation and the People’s Forum. Protesters chanted — “There is only one solution: Intifada revolution,” “Resistance is great – we will win” and “Gaza you make us proud.” The New York Post.

In a video of the protest circulating on social media, a female protester wearing a keffiyeh can be heard saying, “We’re sending you back to Europe, you’re white.”
“Go back to Europe! Go back to Europe,” he chanted at counter-protesters outside the event in the Big Apple.

Another speaker chanted through a megaphone, “2024 was the year of the struggle against the crime of Zionism.”
It came hours after U.S. Army veteran Shamsuddin Jabbar, waving an ISIS flag from his truck, drove around makeshift barricades and plowed through New Orleans’ crowded French Quarter on New Year’s Day. Jabbar, 42, may have had the help of others in the attack that killed 15 people, police officials said.
Around 30 other people were injured in the attack, including two police officers who were injured in Jabbar’s firing, who were later shot dead by the police. The attack happened around 3:15 a.m. near the intersection of Canal and Bourbon Streets, a historic tourist spot known for its music and bars where crowds were celebrating the New Year. Three improvised pipe bombs were found near the tourist-friendly French Quarter, one of which was in Jabbar’s truck.
US President Joe Biden condemned it as a “despicable” act and said investigators were looking into possible links to the Tesla truck that caught fire outside the Trump hotel in Las Vegas. Biden said that so far no evidence has been found to link the two incidents.
“The FBI also informed me that hours before the attack, he posted videos on social media that appeared to be inspired by ISIS,” Biden said of the New Orleans suspect. Expresses the desire to kill.”
