Argentine President Javier Meli recently presented Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni with a statue of himself in chains, Politico reported. Ms Maloney visited the Argentine Republic earlier this week. During his visit, he met Javier Melli at the Casa Rosada, where he presented the Italian prime minister with a strange gift. A photo of the strange gift has since surfaced online. It shows the two leaders standing side by side, with Ms Maloney holding the statue. Specifically, according to PoliticsMr Meli carried a real chainsaw as a rally prop during his 2023 presidential campaign, promising to reduce the size of the state.

Ms Maloney’s visit to Buenos Aires was the first bilateral visit to Latin America since her government took office. “It was not a random choice. I chose to come to Buenos Aires because, as President Melli rightly pointed out, there is a fraternal bond between the Italian people and the Argentine people.” statement.
Ms Meloni added: “With this visit, I obviously want to repay the special attention that President Meli has paid to Italy. It is a pleasure to remember that Rome was the first European capital President Meli visited. chose to visit after being elected,” added Ms Maloney.
During the bilateral meeting, the two leaders expressed their desire to work together on several issues, including the war in Ukraine, the conflict in the Middle East and the crisis in Venezuela.
“President Milli and I are clearly aligned politically; a political alignment between two leaders who defend the cornerstones of the West’s identity and its civilization, freedom and equality between peoples, democratic systems and the sovereignty of nations. fight for,” Ms. Maloney said.
