Dhaka:
According to Bangladesh-based Dhaka Tribune, Nobel laureate economist Muhammad Yunus will return to Bangladesh on Thursday.
Younis will arrive at Dhaka’s Hazrat Shah Jalal International Airport at 2.10pm on an Emirates flight from Dubai, Dhaka Tribune reported, citing a statement from the Younis Centre.
Younis’ return comes as he is set to take on a key role as head of the interim government after meeting President Muhammad Shahabuddin.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Yunus Center congratulated the students who played a key role in achieving the second Victory Day and appealed to the public to refrain from violence.
“I congratulate the brave students who stepped up to make our second Victory Day possible and thank you people for your full support. Let us make the most of our new victory. I wish everyone I appeal to all students, members of all political parties and non-political people to remain calm.
The statement highlighted the potential of the country and urged the people to focus on building a better future. “This is our beautiful country with so many exciting possibilities. We must protect it and make it a wonderful country for ourselves and our future generations,” the Yunus Center added in its statement.
Yunus Center further said that violence is their enemy.
“Our youth are ready to give this leadership to build a new world. We must not miss this opportunity by indulging in any senseless violence. Violence is our enemy. Please do not create more enemies. Keep calm. And get ready to build the country. If we take the path of violence, everything will be destroyed. Please help people around you to stay calm.
