London:
Britain’s Queen Camilla has pulled out of an event on Friday night because she continues to experience some symptoms of illness after contracting a chest infection earlier this month, a Buckingham Palace spokesman said.
Camilla, 77, was due to attend the Royal Variety Performance at the Royal Albert Hall in central London with her husband King Charles but will now go solo to the charity entertainment show.
“The Queen is experiencing some lingering symptoms after contracting the virus, which has resulted in doctors advising that after a week of engagements, Her Majesty should prioritize adequate rest,” the spokesperson said.
A chest infection forced Camilla to cancel events for several days in the first week of November, but she has since returned to official duties.
