Elon Musk escalated his feud with former EU digital chief Thierry Breton on Saturday, calling him “Europe’s tyrant” and saying the two men traded barbs online.

The tech billionaire, an ally of incoming US President Donald Trump, has long criticized EU rules governing the digital space, accusing Brussels of censorship. This week, META chief Mark Zuckerberg echoed that charge.

Musk has recently angered Europe with repeated insults to the continent’s leaders and open support for Germany’s far-right AfD party ahead of elections next month.

His latest outburst against Breton came after he said Europe could act to prevent election interference.
