Soon, a crowd started gathering at the site after which the officials decided to evacuate the agency workers and children to a safer place. However, tensions escalated and “disorder” spread in the area.

“No one has been reported injured and investigations are ongoing at the scene,” it added.
UK Home Secretary Yvette Cooper took to social media platform X to condemn the violence. He posted: “I am appalled at the shocking scenes and attacks on police vehicles and public transport in Leeds tonight (Thursday night). This type of depravity has no place in our society. I am the West. Thanks for the response from Yorkshire Police. I am being kept updated regularly.”
