The UAE celebrates its 53rd National Day on December 2, also known as Eid Al-Ittihad, giving residents an opportunity to reflect on the country’s journey of resilience, determination and success. The Ministry of Human Resources and the Emirates (MOHRE) has announced public holidays on December 2 and 3 (Monday and Tuesday) for all private sector employees in the UAE. As the dates fall on a Saturday and Sunday, it gives UAE residents the chance to celebrate a long weekend.

Why is UAE National Day celebrated?
