Los Angeles:
A small plane crashed into a commercial building in California on Thursday, killing at least two people and injuring 18, police said.
The crash occurred in the early afternoon near Fullerton Municipal Airport, 25 miles (40 km) southeast of Los Angeles. The cause remains unknown.
Fullerton police said on X that two fatalities had been confirmed.

Additionally, 10 people were hospitalized and 8 others were treated at the scene.
A police officer told local station KTLA that investigators do not yet know whether the dead were passengers on the plane or workers at the building where it crashed.
Television footage showed a gaping hole in the roof of the building, with smoke pouring out.

“All we hear is a loud noise, like a boom, and that’s it. Then we started running out of the building,” Jerome Cruz, one of the workers who witnessed the scene, told CBS News. .
According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the plane was a single-engine van RV-10, a smaller model with four seats.
In November, two people were injured in another crash near Fullerton Airport.
