Guwahati, Sep 30 (PTI) Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma made headlines this week with scathing allegations against the Congress party’s regime, claiming that government jobs were done without bribery. During his address, Sarma announced his goal of providing employment to 200,000 youth during his administration. He said that since assuming office, 140,000 youths have already secured jobs, surpassing the initial target of 100,000. “During the Congress era, the youth did not believe that they could get government jobs without paying bribes. Even for low-paying jobs, they needed to pay a bribe of Rs 1 crore,” he said of the Congress rule. Claimed to be riddled with corruption.
