Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan said on Sunday that the state would provide 12 million government jobs and by the end of this year, 34 million jobs would be created for the youth.
Addressing a gathering after trapping the national flag in the Gandhi field of Patna, he said that maintaining the rule of law is the top priority of the state government.
He said that the state has so far provided government jobs to 9 million people and created 24 million jobs.
He added, “The Bihar government will provide 12 million government jobs by the end of this year and create 34 million jobs for the youth. The state government is working in this direction.”
Khan said the government was working in a plan to overcome crime and maintain law and order.
“The rule of law is intact in the state … this is the top priority of the government, to improve the law and order, the power of the (police) force has been significantly increased,” he said.
The governor said the government was committed to protecting communal harmony in the state.
“The state of harmony and peace remains in the state,” he said.
“The construction of the boundary wall of the temples (which is over 60 years old) is already going on. The state government started fencing on the basis of burial in 2006. It made 1,273 sensitive burial for fences. Identified, and has already been completed for 746.
Khan also talked about various welfare measures taken by the state government and major infrastructure projects.
“Roads and bridges have been constructed in the state. The target of reaching Patna in six hours from remote areas of the state was achieved in 2016. It is being tried to reduce it for five hours, for which one of the roads. A large number of bridges and robes (more bridges) are being constructed.
“Health facilities and infrastructure have improved significantly in the states,” he said. There are currently 12 medical colleges and hospitals in the state. Fourteen new medical colleges and hospitals are opening in the state. ”
He said the construction of eight of these medical colleges is being supported by the center.
He said, “Patna Medical College and the hospital are being built a 5,400 -bed hospital, and the capacity of five other medical colleges is being increased.
Khan said that after the ‘Bihar Business Connect -2024’, the environmental system is ready to become an important destination for state industries and investors.
He said that the state government has signed promises of investment of Rs 1.80 lakh crore with various firms.
The governor said the government was pushing for empowering women, and taking effective steps to provide them with jobs and self -reliance.
“At present, the number of women in the state police force is more than 30,000, which is the highest in the country. Since 2016, women have been given 35 percent reservation in government jobs,” he said.
Khan said that 10.61 million self -help groups are working in rural areas and more than 1.31 million women were associated with them.
“Self -help groups are now being formed in urban areas,” he said.
Khan said that a map of the fourth agriculture road is being implemented in the state, and Rs 1.62 lakh crore has been approved for the overall development of the sector.
At the ceremony, the Governor saluted the march of emergency forces in the presence of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhry and several state ministers.
