Govt forms cabinet sub-committee on reservation in government jobs: Umar

Srinagar, November 22: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has said that the Cabinet sub-committee formed to discuss the issue of reservation in government jobs with all stakeholders will adopt a comprehensive approach so that everyone is treated fairly and none are disadvantaged. The right cannot be taken away.

He further said that our youth, especially those belonging to the open community feel that they are not getting their rights, but there are people who have been brought under the reservation who do not want any reduction in their rights. Therefore, the cabinet has decided to constitute a sub-committee, which will consist of three ministers, and the cabinet has asked them to take a comprehensive view of the matter and once it submits its report. A decision will be taken on this matter.
