Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday handed over 6837 candidates to the appointment, including 6341 newly appointed junior engineers and 496 instructors in various departments of the state government.

Kumar has promised to provide government jobs to 12 million aspirants before the 2025 assembly elections. The government has claimed that 9,13,000 youths have been recruited so far.

Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhry said that the Bihar government was working sincerely on the front. He said that during the first 15 years of Nitish Kumar’s period from 2005 to 2020, a total of 7.55 thousand aspirants were recruited.

Kumar continues to fulfill his promises and the total recruitment number has taken to 9,13,000.

Kumar had promised the people of Bihar that he would not meet with him to seek votes for 12 million youths in the state until giving government jobs.

Since elections are set to take place from October to November this year, providing government jobs to 200,000 more aspirants seems to be a difficult target.

There has been a permanent political competition between the ruling NDA and the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) for providing government jobs to the youth of Bihar. Samrat Chaudhry’s claim has intensified politics.

RJD spokesman Ejaz Ahmed criticized the BJP leader for claiming the establishment of government jobs.

He said that the NDA was taking the jobs that were presented during Nitish Kumar’s time while he was running the government with the RJD and the Congress.

RJD leader Tejeshvi Yadav continues to claim that five million jobs were created during his 17 -month job as Deputy Chief Minister, which is a record. Ever since the NDA government has returned, job creation has decreased.

The government’s claims and opposition response claims have left those who want job. Several employment aspirants said the government has claimed to have recruited 9 lakh 13 thousand youths since 2005, of which only 1,63,000 were recruited during the last four years.

If the recruitment continues at the same pace, it is difficult to believe that the government will achieve a target of 12 million before the elections.
