Bhopal, Oct 22 (INS) In a major decision to generate employment, the Madhya Pradesh government led by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has decided to recruit more than four lakh employees over the next four years.
A proposal in this regard was placed before the Cabinet meeting chaired by CM Yadav on Tuesday.
The Council of Ministers discussed this important issue and subsequently the proposal was approved.
Giving more details on the matter, Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla said that the departments, especially tourism, forests, industry, mining etc., to provide maximum employment to the youth.
“Departments have been directed to prepare a report on how many jobs can be created and filled in the next four years. Manpower shortage affects the productivity of the state government. These four lakh employees The recruitment will be announced at various times,” added Deputy CM Shukla.
From the decision of CM Yadav’s cabinet, it can also be inferred that the promises made by the BJP during the assembly elections held in November last year were fulfilled.
In its manifesto, the BJP had promised five lakh government jobs in five years.
Recruitment of state civil servants is done through the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC for Grade II jobs) and the Employee Selection Board (ESB), formerly known as Vyapam.
Plans are being made to fulfill the commitments made for the next four years.
A portal is also being developed for this purpose in which updates about vacancies and recruitments will be recorded.
CM Yadav often reiterated that employment to the needy was his government’s top priority and he would not depend on government jobs alone.
He called for an action plan to provide employment by including sectors like tourism, forestry, minerals, industry and services, adding that the action plan ensures jobs for the needy.
