A day after Olympic bronze medalists Sarbjot Singh and Manu Bhakar met Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini in Chandigarh where they were reportedly offered government jobs, Sarbjot said on Saturday that he would accept the offer. are not ready to accept and instead want to continue their practice.

The Olympian shooter was talking to the media when he was received at his residence by former Union Minister Vinod Sharma and Ambala Mayor Shakti Rani Sharma along with his father Jitendra Singh and coach Abhishek Rana.

Responding to a question about the government’s offer of the post of deputy director in the sports department, Sarabjot appreciated the offer but politely declined it.

“I want to work on my shooting first. My family is also asking me for a good job, but I want to focus on shooting,” he said.

Earlier in the day, he was also felicitated by the Central Phoenix Club, where his coach Rana’s AR Shooting Academy is located. Here, the player’s father thanked the Chief Minister for welcoming him at his residence a day earlier.

Talking to reporters, Rana said that they are now all set to participate in the state-level program to facilitate Olympic medalists in Rohtak on August 17.

Rana, who has been coaching the 22-year-old since the beginning, said he has put a proposal before the government for the post of DSP.
