Defense Minister Rajnath Singh today sought votes for BJP candidates, claiming that the Modi government stopped the Ukraine-Russia war to expel Indian students.

Addressing a gathering in Raipur Rani, Singh said the Narendra Modi government played a major role in freeing Indian students trapped in Ukraine during the war. “Modi called the leaders of the two countries, after which the war was stopped for four hours to evacuate the Indian students,” he said.

Seeking votes for Shakti Rani Sharma and Gyan Chand Gupta, party candidates for the Kalka and Panchkula assembly seats respectively, the defense minister said the BJP would provide more than 1.50 lakh government jobs in Haryana. “We have provided 1.5 lakh government jobs in Haryana and will provide more in the next five years if brought to power,” he assured.

He said that we will bring the ‘One Nation One Election’ bill to reduce the expenditure on separate elections.

The Union Minister said that Haryana’s GDP increased to Rs 10 lakh crore during the BJP regime. He said that the BJP had announced the abrogation of Article 370 in 1991 and had done so when Narendra Modi came to power. Stating the opposite, he said that the Congress had a history of stopping development wherever it came to power. He has also failed to announce his chief ministerial candidate. But BJP is not facing this situation as Nayab Singh Saini will be our Chief Minister after forming the government.

He said if you want to destroy Haryana then vote for Congress and if you want development then vote for BJP.

In her address, Shakti Rani spoke about the scourge of drugs in Kalka. He said that many youths of Kalka have been affected by drugs. “We have included the issues of all areas of Kalka in our manifesto. Today people do not have clean drinking water. The MLA has failed to focus on the area in the last five years. I told you about the scourge of drugs and others. I assure you to get rid of the problems,” he said.

Shakti Rani announced the party’s assurances for Raipur Rani, including a college for girls, a food processing unit and making it a subdivision. On this occasion, the leaders also released the party manifesto for Raipur Rani.
