Srinagar, August 19: The National Conference released the manifesto on Monday. The manifesto includes 200 units of free electricity, cancellation of PSA in Jammu and Kashmir, 1 lakh jobs for youth.
JKNC Vice President Omar Abdullah released the party manifesto in the presence of Chief Spokesman Tanveer Sadiq, Senior Leader Ali Sagar, Abdul Rahim Rather and Ajay Sidhutra.

Guarantees- 1) Cancel the PSA. 2) Release political prisoners. 3) Committed to dignified return of Kashmiri Pandits. 4) Ease of passport verification. 5) Elimination of unfair dismissals. 6) Unnecessary harassment of people on highways will be stopped.
A comprehensive job package for youth – providing 100,000 jobs to youth. –Within the first 3 months of forming the government, we will pass the Jammu and Kashmir Youth Employment Generation Act.. The Act will focus on creating sustainable employment opportunities for the youth – to fill up all vacancies in government departments within 180 days and to ensure a policy for the future – free application for all examinations. will -We promise jobs with incentives under start-up scheme. We promise employment through small hydro power generation projects including solar power projects coupled with government facilitation and incentives in the energy sector.
Relief from electricity and water crisis. –Provide 200 units of electricity for free. Transfer of hydropower projects to Jammu and Kashmir as recommended by the Committee of Prime Ministers. To meet the demand of industries, we will find viable ways to provide some respite in electricity rates, ensuring a more conducive environment for industrial growth and sustainability. – We will provide free drinking water to every house. We will give special attention to remote and inaccessible areas of Jammu and Kashmir and ensure supply of drinking water to them. -We will ensure proper utilization of funds under Jal Jeevan Mission and plug all the loop holes that have been exploited in recent years. Steps will be taken to increase the proportion of free electricity from the current 10% to 40% to increase household electricity supply. It should be noted that due to IWT restrictions, not all Indian norms are actually applicable in Jammu and Kashmir.
Strengthening of Public Distribution System – Increasing free distribution of rice to 10 kg per person per month. -Common people will also be entitled to 10 kg of rice/flour per person per month. -We will review the allocation of kerosene and sugar, as adopted by other states. -Efforts will be made to strengthen PDS and make it people friendly -We will ensure that PDS outlets have adequate storage and timely supply of food grains to avoid shortages.
