HYDERABAD: To tackle the problem of unemployment in the state, the government is conducting a recruitment drive on war footing to fill up the vacant posts. Telangana State Public Service Commission (TGSPSC), Police Recruitment Board, Medical and Health Recruitment Board and other similar bodies will start the recruitment process simultaneously.

In the last 15 days, the Medical and Health Recruitment Board has issued three notifications to fill 3,967 vacancies including 1,284 Lab Technicians, Staff Nurses and 633 Pharmacists.

The pending results for filling 7,094 staff nurse posts from December 2022 have been released by Congress and appointment letters have been handed over to the selected candidates.

The results for filling 16,929 constable vacancies pending from 2022 were announced after the Congress came to power and the candidates were given appointment letters.

Meanwhile, the process of filling about 17,341 posts by TGSPSC is in various stages. Recently Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy handed over appointment letters to 687 AEEs in the Irrigation Department. TGSPSC has announced Group IV Results which are pending for a long time. Verification of certificates for recruitment to 8,180 Group IV posts is in progress.

The results of 581 posts of Hostel Welfare Officer and 53 posts of Divisional Accounts Officer have been released in various welfare departments.

The Group I exam, which was held in the past due to paper leaks, was canceled as soon as the new government came to power. Fresh notification has been issued for the recruitment of 563 posts. Group I prelims were held on June 9. Arrangements are being made to hold the mains from October 21 to 27.

“The wishes of the unemployed are being fulfilled,” said an official. Since the new government took over, all the hurdles in the declaration of pending results have been removed and appointment letters are being issued to selected candidates.
