A soldier was killed in an encounter between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Saturday, officials reported.

Officials said the security personnel were carrying out a cordon and search operation in Modargam village of south Kashmir district when the terrorists opened fire on them.

In a separate incident, terrorists were contacted in Farisal Channigam area of ​​Kulgam.

A post by the Kashmir Zone Police said, “Police and security forces are actively engaged. More details will be provided.”
