The middle class is commonly seen as the highest investment in income tax rates, which fall directly under the budget. In India since 2020, the Income Tax slab has not changed much, and for two reasons there has been a growing voice to do so.
Inflation means that the high slabs now kick on the real income of the matter that was before. The slowdown in the economy-India’s GDP growth has dropped from 8.2 % in 2023-24 to 6.4 % expected in 2024-25-requires policy efforts to increase consumption.

“It is the middle class, which is like being affected, and a huge proportion between 7-10 falls. So, it is perhaps understood that there will be some exemptions here and some relief. . It will certainly promote consumption, “Majumdar added.
