Houston, Texas – Many people are still recovering from the holidays, from Thanksgiving to Christmas, with inflation and grocery prices soaring — and budgeting is a hot topic on social media right now.
While many people balk at the idea of meal planning for the week, grocery prices can really put a dent in your pocket.
Some users on social media have found an alternative and easier way to save money on groceries using AI.
I mean, you can make your own grocery list and budget — but many people find themselves going over their budget or getting tired of the same old recipes.
TikToker @Libbybonthelable posted a video about how she uses ChatGPT to use her $100 grocery budget for two people for the week. She also asked ChatGPT to come up with recipes that she could cook within that budget. He also told the AI system what foods he already had at home to add those items to his meals.
If you have food or dietary restrictions, ChatGPT will also create a meal plan and grocery list based on your needs.
Now, for the recipes, Libby showed all the food He made it for the week following ChatGPT’s instructions.
On Reddit, one user shared how he’s been using ChatGPT to plan his meals and how it’s been life-changing because it’s relieved him of a lot of stress.
So, we asked our digital content expert Ninfa Saavedra how she uses ChatGPT to help plan her healthy meals for the week and she showed us how:
1.) First, download ChatGPT to your phone or computer if you don’t already have it. I know most of us use it in our daily lives whether it’s answering work email “professionally” or helping us apply for a new job, but You can also use ChatGPT for more.
2.) Second, go to typing. Give specific instructions… don’t worry, the more specific you are, the better. So for me, I’m on a special diet with a lot of restrictions. I wanted to stay within my budget, eat healthy and have different options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Here is what I entered in the chat.
3. ) Third, add which grocery store, and city, and if you want snacks, drinks, or something special like beans or steak options.
4.) Fourth, don’t be afraid to ask ChatGPT to change some recipes or add more to your preference, after all it’s your grocery list or meal plan.
