A wider rollout of the advanced voice mode for ChatGPT appears to be scheduled for September 24th. According to recent leaks, a planned announcement for that date has been spotted in code. This rollout is likely to be shown to users on mobile apps rather than the web. Along with this, these reports have also come out Updated the Advanced Sound Mode FAQ.. Some users also noticed changes to the information screen for the standard sound mode. It previously stated that the advanced voice mode would be rolled out to all users by the end of fall, but now This conveys a more general message. That it will be released gradually soon.
There are also some new developments on the ChatGPT app for macOS. In the voice mode UI, the black round icon representing ChatGPT’s voice is replaced by a sky animation that follows the voice as it speaks.
Additionally, on the Sounds page, there is now a button that offers quick access to sound selections. Currently, there are still only four voices available, but it looks like the UI is designed to possibly support more voices in the future. It is consistent with this.
