Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday condemned the truck attack in the US city of New Orleans in which 15 people were killed.

“We strongly condemn the cowardly terrorist attack in New Orleans. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families. May they find strength and comfort as they recover from this tragedy,” he wrote on X. wrote

A US Army veteran carrying an Islamic State flag plowed into a pickup truck of New Year’s revelers in New Orleans on Wednesday, killing at least 15 people and injuring dozens.

The FBI has identified the attacker as Shamsuddin Jabbar, a 42-year-old American citizen from Texas. He appears to have been a real estate agent working in Houston and served as an IT specialist in the military.
