Lucina City – A 19-year-old girl was killed and her boyfriend was injured in a hacking attack on Wednesday, January 1, a few hours after the New Year celebrations in Tai city of Rizal province.

Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) Police reported Thursday that Mitch Bartolome and her boyfriend, Jack Montanez, had just celebrated the New Year in Barangay (village) San Juan around 4 a.m. when “Jam Boy”, 44, Bartolome’s stepfather, arrives and starts an argument.

At some point during the heated argument, Jam Boy grabs his jungle bolo and kills the girl.

Montañez intervened to calm Jiemboy down, but the big man hacked him as well.

The injured were rushed to the Rizal Provincial Hospital System in the area but Bartolome was pronounced dead on arrival.

Jamboy fled after the incident and is now the subject of a police manhunt.

The report did not provide details about the altercation that led to the killing.
