Comparisons and limitations

While Chat GPT Tasks offers features similar to digital assistants like Siri or Alexa, it also allows for AI interactions. However, since it is still in beta, there are some limitations, such as the absence of voice chat and the inability to upload files.

Some users also prefer their existing schedulers, but this may change as ChatGPT Tasks moves out of beta.

Plans for the future

OpenAI plans to expand the availability of the works, including support for mobile applications and possible access for free-tier users. This feature is currently only available to Chat GPT Plus, Team, and Pro subscribers, and is not yet available in the Windows app.

The company is actively seeking user feedback during this beta phase to improve and refine the feature’s functionality, so you’ll likely see more requests for your input after using the feature, such as When it asks for thumbs up or down.

How do I create a task in ChatGPT?

You can create tasks through a dedicated interface in ChatGPT. You can find it where you can choose different versions of ChatGPT to use. Then, users simply enter details, such as task name, schedule, and repetition options, to organize it into a prompt that you use in any conversation.

Once set, ChatGPT will respond that the task is ready. You can then modify it for more functionality, for example, to make it run repeatedly.
