iPhone 16

Apple is expected to launch its latest iPhones, including the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max next month Ahead of the rumored launch event, CEO Tim Cook confirmed that ChatGPT will be integrated into iOS 18, iPadOS 18 and macOS Sequoia, which means the latest iPhones will come with ChatGPT. .

Cook shared that timeframe during Apple’s quarterly earnings call with analysts. “ChatGPT will be integrated by the end of the calendar year,” Cook said when asked about the timing of the Apple Intelligence features.

With user permission, Siri will be able to provide direct responses from ChatGPT in response to questions and prompts. ChatGPT will also be available for Apple’s system-wide Writing Tools feature, allowing users to create text and images. Apple has announced that ChatGPT on its platforms will run on OpenAI’s latest GPT-4o model.

iPhone, iPad, and Mac users can use ChatGPT for free without creating an account, while ChatGPT Plus users can link their accounts to access premium features on these devices. Apple has assured that OpenAI will not store ChatGPT requests made from its devices, and users’ IP addresses will be hidden.

Apple Intelligence features began rolling out to developers for testing in the iOS 18.1 beta earlier this week, but ChatGPT integration is not yet available. Apple Intelligence features will be available on iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, or any Mac or iPad with an M1 chip or newer. Initially, these features will require the device language to be set to US English, but additional language support will be added next year.

The full set of Apple Intelligence features is expected to debut with iOS 18.4, likely around March 2025. Users will be able to summarize text, prioritize notifications and emails, create custom emojis and images, and more. Siri will also be improved with better language understanding, better app control, on-screen awareness and personalized context.
