Leena Nair, CEO of the channel, recently shared her insights on the impact of AI in the luxury sector. One of the questions posed to the CEO during an interview with Stanford Graduate School of Business’ “View From Above” was “how the channel is adapting to recent changes in AI and robotics.”
To this Nair replied.“AI is everywhere and it’s going to change our world, so luxury has to engage with it, Chanel has to engage with it like no other.”
Sharing his experience, he said, “Actually, our leadership team and I traveled to Seattle in May, and we met a lot of people. We talked to Microsoft, Google, and a lot of people in the area. visited startups from, and spent some time with ChatGPT, because we wanted to understand how it affects us.”
He Emphasize it “I think the number one thing on my mind is to continue to focus on human creativity. I never want to go away. So making sure that AI supports human creators and creations rather than those that Bring something take it away, so skillfully and expertly who are we on the channel.
“We’re also high on ethics and integrity, so we want to do it right.”
Sharing a funny incident, he added, “We were at Microsoft, we were playing with ChatGPT on the premises. And we’re like, show us a picture of a senior leadership team at a channel that’s at Microsoft. “All these men are in suits,” she marveled.
She said, “This is Chanel. Yes, my organization is 76 percent women, and 96 percent of my clients are women, with a female CEO. It’s a 100 percent male team, not even in fashion.
“This is what yYou have an offer, ChatGPT? Come on.” Finally, he concluded, “So, it’s very important that we maintain the ethics and integrity of what we’re doing with AI.”
