The Chief Ministers sitting alongside Prime Minister Narendra Modi expected to retain their Cabinet posts – Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, JP Nadda, Nitin Gadkari, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, S Jaishankar, Nirmala Sitharaman, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Manohar Lal Khattar, and others.

Other prominent NDA leaders present at the cabinet meeting included Kiran Rijiju, Chirag Paswan, Giriraj Singh, Mansukh Mandaviya, and Hardeep Singh Puri.

The Union Cabinet in its first meeting approved government assistance for its construction. Three crore houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY).

“In a cabinet meeting today, it has been decided to provide assistance for construction of houses to three crore additional rural and urban households to increase the number of eligible families,” PTI reported, quoting officials. to meet housing needs.”

Under PMAY, a total of 4.21 crore houses have been completed for eligible poor families under housing schemes in the last 10 years. All houses constructed under PMAY are provided with basic amenities like household toilet, LPG connection, electricity connection and functional household tap connection through coordination with other schemes of Central and State Governments.
