Mumbai recorded the second heaviest 24-hour rainfall in July on Monday, with nearly 300 mm of rain recorded in just six hours. The city recorded 170 mm of rain between midnight and 3 am on Tuesday. The red alert is expected to continue till 8:30 am in Mumbai.
