Mumbai, Sep 19 (IANS) Maharashtra’s ruling NCP has registered a case with the cyber crime branch alleging that the Facebook page of its president and deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar was hacked by some unknown persons. was hacked and objectionable content was posted on it.

“By taking fake screenshots of the official Facebook page of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Dada Pawar, there is a pattern of deliberately defaming his image on social media,” Gurjee said, adding that the party chief’s Facebook page had been uploaded. The content is downright naughty.
He also indicated that this is an attempt to tarnish the image of Ajit Pawar and the NCP ahead of the upcoming assembly elections in the state.
The NCP leader noted that the hacking of Ajit Pawar’s Facebook page and the uploading of objectionable content took place when Ajit Pawar was busy on his Jan Sanman Yatra to support Mukhi Mantri Majhi Ladki Bah Yojana and other welfare and development projects. Schemes can be promoted. He said it was also an attempt to increase NCP’s reach to the voters and change the party during the upcoming assembly elections.
Gurjee said Pawar was on a tour of Maharashtra for the past one and a half months, interacting with various sections of the society and promoting various schemes of the government across the state.
