Lok Jan Shakti Party (LJP) leader Shambhavi Chaudhary on Tuesday became India’s youngest member of parliament after winning the Lok Sabha elections from Samastipur in Bihar. He defeated Congress Party candidate Sunny Hazari by 187251 votes.

“I wish the people of Samastipur all the best. I would say they have taken the right decision, and I will try to live up to their expectations. Samastipur has given me a big win, and I am sure People have given me a place in their hearts, I said I came here to seek blessings as a daughter and today they have accepted me as their daughter,” said Shambhvi Chaudhary. told PTI after

Shambhavi Chaudhary is only 25 years old. He is a third generation politician.

Shambhavi Chaudhary’s father Ashok Chaudhary is a JDU leader. He is one of the most influential ministers in Nitish Kumar’s cabinet.

His father had defected from the Congress to the JD(U).

Shambhavi Chaudhary’s grandfather late Mahaveer Chaudhary was also a Congress member. He was the state minister when the party ruled in Bihar.

He was praised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a rally in Bihar.

Shambhavi Chaudhary said in an earlier interview that she was always interested in politics.

“A father cannot win a mandate for a daughter. I need to work hard for it. The people of Samastipur will decide whether I get a chance to represent this seat in the Lok Sabha or not… not my family. “I want to be a part of this democratic system that is for the people, by the people,” he said.

Shambhavi Chaudhary holds a Masters of Arts (Sociology) degree from the prestigious Delhi School of Economics.

“It is not a difficult task for me to understand politics and society. For me, joining politics is to get practical experience of all the things I have only studied. My educational background certainly gives me exposure to the people of my area. Will help identify problems… and try my best to resolve them at the earliest,” Chaudhary had said.
