Ten days after violence erupted during a court-ordered survey of a Mughal-era mosque in Uttar Pradesh’s Sambhal district, law enforcement officials on Thursday found two US-made bullet cartridges in the city.
A forensic team is investigating. Manage violence. On Thursday, the site seized four empty cartridges, two of which were manufactured in the United States, police said.
This has come to light two days after the police found six empty cartridges in Sambhal. Five of them were allegedly manufactured in Pakistan.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Krishna Kumar Vishnoi told reporters that as part of the investigation into the November 24 violence in this district of Uttar Pradesh, a forensic team examined the crime scene on Thursday.
He said that four cartridges have been sent for forensic examination.
He said that two of the seized cartridges had ‘Made in the US’ written on them. All four cartridges have been sent for forensic examination.
Violence broke out in Sambhal on November 24 when a team of officials conducted a survey of the city’s Shahi Jama Masjid. The incident took place during the second phase of the survey which was ordered by the local court.
The court had ordered the survey in response to a petition claiming that the mosque was built by Mughal emperor Babur after demolishing a temple.
Four people were killed as a result of stone pelting by the mob on the police and the survey team. Dozens of people including police and administrative officials were injured in the violence.

CM Yugi said, “500 years ago, a general of Babur did something in Ayodhya, similar actions in Sambhal, and what is happening in Bangladesh today. All three have the same nature and DNA. ” CM Yogi said.
Reacting to Yogi Adityanath’s comment, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav said that the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister should get his DNA tested before making such remarks.
