A CCTV footage, which shows the 46-year-old man allegedly carrying sweets before the bodies of him and his four daughters were found, has now gone viral on social media. The video shows the man walking innocently around 7pm with a large bag, which police believe is a box of sweets.
The date on the footage is September 24, the date neighbors claim they last saw the family. After initial investigation, the police believe that it is possible that the man bought the sweets, and then poisoned them.
After the incident came to light Neighbors reported an odor. From the 3rd floor flat. Police found the door locked from inside and recovered a box of sweets, insecticide and a suspicious liquid. Initial clinical examination showed no external lesions.
“The father was found lying on the cot in the first room. There was blood near his mouth,” said a police official.
“The family alleged that the father was under financial pressure. We don’t know if that led to the deaths. We are also trying to trace the sequence of events. Since the father was last seen with a box of sweets. “There was, so we think they ate poisoned sweets and there was juice that was mixed with it.”
Neighbors described the family as isolated, with the daughters having medical problems. They said the family mostly kept to themselves, and the man’s wife died of cancer in August. The father, a former carpenter, stopped working in January. The ages of the daughters were 26, 24, 23 and 20 years. One of them was visually impaired, police said.
Police are analyzing phone records and bank accounts to determine the sequence of events and possible motives.
“We have sent everything to the forensic lab and are probing the case from all angles. We don’t know whether it was a suicide contract or a murder-suicide,” said another police official who is part of the investigation team. .
This case is remarkably similar to the 2018 case, where 11 members of the same family were found dead in their house in Barari, Delhi.. Despite years of investigation, there is still no clear explanation for his mysterious death.
