A monkey turned a normal shopping day into chaos at Citycart Mall in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, and a video of the wild scene went viral on social media.

Shoppers were surprised when the monkey wandered into the mall. After jumping around, he began harassing a young woman by placing her on her head, pulling her clothes, and even her shoes.

The frightened woman screamed and tried to escape, but the primate continued to cling to her. “He bit me!” He screamed and begged the onlookers to help him.

Finally, the monkey leapt from its head to the nearby clothes racks like a parkour expert, but not without parting some of its hair.

Shoppers looked on in panic, some trying to help the monkey by luring it with bananas and throwing blankets over it. However, the nimble troublemaker had other plans and quickly evaded capture, leaping across the display to cause further havoc.

The mall turned into a scene of mayhem as the monkey continued its antics, hopping around for what felt like forever. Many captured the entire ordeal on their phones, and the videos spread like wildfire online.

The mall authorities are yet to comment on the incident.
