Terrorists want to make dirty bombs.
Islamabad: The security of Pakistan’s nuclear program is once again at risk. Sixteen Pakistani nuclear scientists and employees were abducted by Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants on Thursday, January 9, from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, bordering Afghanistan.
The Pakistani army claims that it has released eight people. Earlier, TTP militants had said that now they will target Pakistani military installations. The Pakistan Army claimed they were civilian employees, but the TTP issued their identity cards and said they worked for the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC).
It is also being claimed that the terrorists have also looted uranium.
Pakistan is a nuclear weapons state and its atomic bombs have been under TTP scrutiny for years. Due to which the kidnapping of 16 scientists is being declared as a major incident.
According to the Voice of America report, these scientists were kidnapped at gunpoint by TTP terrorists. They set fire to the vehicles of the scientists and escaped. The TTP has released a video asking the army to fulfill their demand. One employee was released in critical condition.

TTP militants have also claimed to have looted large quantities of uranium. If this claim of TTP is true, then it is very scary news regarding the security of the world. Many terrorist groups are trying to build “dirty bombs” that use uranium. All these nuclear scientists used to work in Pakistan’s largest uranium mine, Kabul Khel Atomic Energy. They are begging the government of Pakistan for their lives.
The TTP demanded that in exchange for the release of these nuclear engineers, the Pakistan Army should stop its military operations against the TTP terrorists. Earlier, Pakistan Army had carried out airstrikes in Afghanistan after tensions with the Taliban government and claimed to have destroyed TTP hideouts. After that, Taliban and TTP also claimed to have killed many Pakistani soldiers in retaliation. About 6,000 fighters of the TTP, also known as the Pakistani Taliban, are active along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border.

TTP terrorists want to remove the government of Pakistan and implement Sharia law there. The TTP has been eyeing Pakistan’s nuclear bomb program for many years. According to the Brookings Institution of America, TTP’s morale is high after the arrival of the Taliban government in Afghanistan.
He says that if Pakistan does not control these terrorists, there is a risk of Pakistan’s nuclear bomb falling into the hands of jihadists. There are many hard-liners within the Pakistani army who are deeply influenced by the Taliban.
Pakistan currently has 170 nuclear bombs and is busy increasing their number to 200. This development of Pakistan has also increased the tension of the United States.
