An American businessman has shared the story of his younger sister, who secured a business class ticket to Doha after running into the CEO of Qatar Airways at the airport. In a post shared on social media platform X, Paul Bernard Jaroslavsky said his sister was trying unsuccessfully to fly from Doha, Qatar and reach the US with a standby ticket.

A woman on a Qatar Airways flight secured a business class seat after approaching the airline’s CEO.

A standby ticket is a type of ticket that does not guarantee a seat on a specific flight but allows the passenger to wait at the airport and board the flight if a seat becomes available after all confirmed passengers have boarded.

A similar scenario occurred when Jaroslavsky’s unnamed sister tried to board a flight to Washington, D.C. instead. “At the gate for the DC flight, Qatar Airways employees told him the same thing. They’re not bringing any more passengers due to weight management,” the American founder of FreightCaviar wrote on X.

At this point, Jaroslavsky’s sister was becoming anxious, nervous, and worried. As she stood under the departure screens wondering how she could get to America, her luck changed.

“A man came up to her and asked her why she was so sad. My sister told her everything about the situation,” Jaroslavsky wrote. The man asked her to wait in the business class lounge and assured her that things would be fine.

It turned out that this stranger was none other than Badr Muhammad Al Meer who was the CEO of KC. Qatar Airways.

Badr Muhammad Al Meer He kept his word and secured a business class ticket to New York City for Jaroslavsky’s sister.

When she boarded the flight, a Qatar Airways employee told her she was “very lucky” because the CEO rarely walked around the airport that day.

“Some people in this world have incredible power. Everything from sour to super sweet with a snap of a finger,” Jaroslavsky wrote in his X thread on June 19.

The story reached thousands of people who were amazed at the woman’s good fortune. “Great story. Inspirational,” one person wrote in the comments section. “Be a reminder to do something good for someone today,” said another. “Amazing,” said a third person.
