Former England captain Kevin Pietersen had a horrific incident on Saturday which saw his flight go into a spin. As Iran fired missiles at Israel, Patterson claimed that his flight had to go around and needed to refuel. Sharing a post on social media on Sunday, Patterson revealed the horrific ordeal he went through. All this seemed to happen when the England great was about to leave for Mumbai for the Indian Premier League (IPL) match between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings.

“Well that’s the first thing. Last night our plane had to go back and put on another big load of fuel because we had to change course to avoid Iran’s missiles. Madness!!!! Anyway, in Mumbai and later. One of my favorite cricket grounds in Wankhede!” Patterson wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Amid the tense situation between Israel and Iran, the Indian Embassy in Israel on Sunday issued an advisory to Indian nationals in Israel to remain calm and follow safety protocols issued by local authorities.
The embassy further highlighted that they are closely monitoring the situation and are in touch with the Israeli authorities.

“In light of the recent events in the region, all Indian nationals in Israel are advised to remain calm and follow safety protocols issued by the local authorities,” the Indian Embassy in Israel said in a statement.

Moreover, the Indian Embassy is also in touch with members of the Indian community to ensure the safety of Indian citizens.

“The embassy is closely monitoring the situation and is in touch with Israeli authorities and members of the Indian community to ensure the safety of all its citizens,” it added.
