A man suffered a heart attack while congratulating the bride and groom during a wedding in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh. The video of the incident recorded on the phone has gone viral on social media.

The footage shows the man, identified as Vamsi, giving gifts to the couple on stage. After a few moments he begins to lose his balance. At first, he tries to get support from nearby guests. Seeing her distress, others rushed to her aid and removed her from the stage.

According to a report by NDTV, Bengaluru-based Amazon employee Vamsi had gone to Penumada village to attend his friend’s wedding.

He was immediately rushed to the Dhawan City Government Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. Medical experts have expressed concern over the rising incidence of sudden cardiac arrest in young people, which often occur in unexpected settings such as the gym or social gatherings.

Dr. Ravi Gupta, a consultant cardiologist at Wockard Hospitals in Mumbai, attributes the trend to diabetes, sedentary lifestyle, air pollution, stress, heavy exercise, and use of steroids. He also noted that Indians are genetically predisposed to heart disease, and adopting a Western lifestyle has further increased this risk.

Similarly, in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, a groom died of a heart attack a day before his wedding. The incident took place during a pre-wedding function and was captured on video which went viral on social media.

According to the Free Press Journal, the groom, identified as Shivam (22), hailed from Bhojpur village in Kotwali Hathrasgate area. His marriage with Mohini, a resident of Agra, was fixed on Monday, November 18. The festivities began on Sunday evening, with friends and family in attendance.

The family rushed him to the district hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. Still in disbelief, the family took him to a private hospital, but the doctors there also confirmed his death as a heart attack.
