Black Panther Viral Video: In a country like India, where the jungle book Bagira was born from the pen of Rudyard Kipling, watching Black Panther is bound to go viral. And this is what happened.
While there is no dearth of jungle safaris in India where people catch glimpses of lions, tigers and leopards, a black panther is rare. The beauty of the Black Panther lies not only in its sleek and mysterious appearance, but also in its raw and unbridled power. It is an expert hunter on land and is also an expert swimmer. To make matters worse for its prey, the black panther can jump up to 20 feet and even climb trees with skill.
The black panther is a rare sight because it is an extremely violent animal and is a stealthy prowler. But recently the animal was caught on video in all its glory in the wilds of West Bengal. The video of the black panther was captured by a forest officer, Parveen Kaswan, in the forests of Kursong, West Bengal.
Sharing the video on X, Qaswan called the animals “Krisong’s Bagira”. Now, the video is going viral on social media.

Some netizens urged Qaswan not to reveal the exact location of the animals. “Please sir, I humbly request you to keep her location secret. Poachers are everywhere. Our rare wildlife should be protected,” said an X user. Another user commented, “Definitely as handsome as a Bengal tiger. Maybe, even sexier. Thanks for the clip,” said another.
What is Black Panther?
A black panther is not a separate species in itself. Rather, it is a melanistic type of leopard or, sometimes, jaguar. This means that when members of these two big cat families produce an excess of black pigment, they are called black panthers.
According to the Government of India, the number of leopards in India is 13,800. Of that the Black Panthers might be 10%-11%.
