An FIR has been registered against Delhi Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar and his subordinate YVVJ Rajshekhar following a court order in Uttarakhand’s Almora town.

On March 2, the court accepted a complaint filed by an NGO, Pleasant Valley Foundation, against the authorities and asked the revenue police to register a case against them and investigate the allegations.

The Pleasant Valley Foundation alleged that officials sent four people to a school run by the NGO in Dadakada village on February 14. The four ransacked the chamber of the NGO’s joint secretary’s office and files, Seized records, documents and pen drives containing evidence. of their involvement in scams.

The complainant said that they allegedly threatened the NGO officials that they would take action against them if the corruption complaints against them in the Vigilance Department and other forums were not immediately withdrawn.

They even tried to force the complainant to sign the typewritten documents, which they had brought with them.

The complainant said that when she resisted, the assailants also took Rs 63,000 from the drawer.

Almora District Magistrate Vineet Tomar said that the case against the officials was registered by Govindpur Revenue Police Sub-Inspector on the orders of Almora Chief Judicial Magistrate.

They were booked under sections 392 (robbery), 447 (criminal interference), 120b (criminal conspiracy), 504 (insult with intent to incite breach of peace) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC and SC. An FIR has been registered under /ST Act.
