Jasprit Bumrah is back where he belongs. After picking up five wickets for Mumbai Indians against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Bumrah has been a key factor in the team’s turnaround in IPL 2024 after three consecutive losses. It’s not just the IPL, Bumrah’s form will be crucial for the Indian cricket team as well. Immediately after IPL 2024, the Indian cricket team will play the T20 World Cup. After missing out on the title in the ODI World Cup 2023, the Indian cricket team is gearing up to launch a frenzied fight for their first ICC title in 13 years.

If India are to do well in the T20 World Cup, Jasprit Bumrah will have to play a big role in the bowling unit. Recently, Bumrah had an exclusive interaction with his wife and popular sports anchor Sanjana Ganesan on Jio Cinema.

“I never asked you, how were these 10-11 years (living in Mumbai)?” Sanjana Ganesan asked Jaspreet Bumrah.

“It’s been great, coming here as a 19-year-old. I didn’t even expect to play the Ranji Trophy that year. Yes, I was in the set-up. But then John Wright saw me and brought me in. Over the years, I I have won five titles, it has been a great journey so far.

In the same conversation, Sanjana asked Bumrah about her earlier plans to visit Canada.

“You wanted to go to Canada and start a new life there?” The fast bowler’s wife Sanjana asked Bumrah.

“We have had this conversation before. Every boy wants to make it big and play cricket. There are 25 players in every street who want to play for India. You have to have a back-up plan. Our relative is there. Lives. Although I will finish my education and… my uncle lives there, although we will go as a family, then my mother did not want to go there because it is a different culture, I am very happy. I am and very lucky, otherwise I don’t know if I would have tried to play for the Canadian team and try to do something there, I am playing for the Indian team and the Mumbai Indians.
